The Creative Potency of Liminal Deep Rest
When we soften and rest in slow, deep, spacious, timeless states, we come home to ourselves—we relax into our true nature, our deepest essence. In Liminal Deep Rest, we deepen our roots and broaden our inner skies, holding space for ourselves and our full humanity. We allow ourselves to just be. Instead of pushing, rushing, chasing, tensing or trying to manage our lives, we release our burdens and relax into the deeper currents of life. We listen beneath the noise, surrendering to the natural pulse of our being and trusting our innate embodied wisdom. We allow our bone-deep authentic truth to rise to the surface whilst tending to our deepest needs and our most resonant, heartfelt desires. As we rest in the field of creative intelligence, pure potential and possibility, we open ourselves to greater imagination, insight, inspiration and intuitive guidance. We apprentice ourselves to uncertainty and the unknown, allowing life’s grace and meaning to unfold in its own time, so that transformation can quietly and effortlessly take root.
Deep Rest Yoga Nidra unlocks profound inner ease, authentic presence, and effortless being.
Deep Rest is a regenerative practice of re-membering ourselves; an act of faith, surrender, and generosity– both to ourselves and others around us. We become more present and available to ourselves and the world. We unlock an inner freedom and lightness that expands our capacity to do more of what we love and what brings us alive.
Deep Rest Yoga Nidra is an invitation to a deep inner revolution.
In Deep Rest, we allow ourselves to just be. We relax into self-acceptance and inner belonging and focus on what truly matters. When we rest in expansive states of awareness— in the threshold space between wakefulness and slumber, our heightened creativity, imagination, and renewed perspective deepen our understanding of our experiences, allowing us to navigate complexity, ambiguity, paradox and uncertainty during times of transition with greater ease, radical clarity, curiosity and courage. In Deep Rest Yoga Nidra, we awaken to our personal truth and discover an unshakeble sense of self trust and agency.

What Deeply Rested Sojourners are saying...
I would recommend Navreet to anyone in search of doing something special for themselves!
Her warm and gentle way of leading the practice and her soothing voice would take me to a place of complete relaxation, which had never been easy to achieve before. Thanks to Navreet, I am able to get to that place and know how great it feels to be there.

To say I felt relaxed after the session is an understatement.
I attended Nidrascapes' Yoga Nidra with Navreet after rave reviews from a friend. Navreet was brilliant, kind, welcoming, open and inclusive. Her intuitive pace mirrored everything I was feeling. The visualisations and images she used were amazing. I felt clear-eyed, peaceful, enlivened and energised. I would highly recommend this nurturing and powerful experience. It's an hour where you'll be detached from your individual circumstances just to be with yourself, which, in itself, is completely freeing.

The visualisations are beautiful and so relaxing...
Navreet holds a safe and welcoming space. She has a beautiful delivery that is engaging and makes the practice so easy to follow. She’s a great storyteller. I loved her voice, tone and pacing. I would definitely recommend this experience as a nurturing time out from all of life's hectic busyness, to rest and regulate your nervous system.

The Nidrascapes Approach
We are Nature. Our bodies are storied by the Earth.
Nidrascapes are beautifully crafted, transformational soul journeys that inspire awe, wonder and enchantment in expansive states of awareness. Each immersive guided soul journey is a delicate interweaving of yoga nidra, storytelling, and ancient wisdom with the latest insights from neurobiology and cognitive neuroscience.
These nourishing and profoundly restorative heart-centred rest experiences blend somatic and embodied awareness, powerful breathwork, and radical self-inquiry, with an embodied connection to Nature to enliven our senses and awaken to beauty, wonder and innocence. When we rest in the steady heartbeat of the Earth, we attune to nature's rhythm, wisdom and resilience. As we journey through our inner wild lands, Nature becomes both our mirror and guide. By deepening our rootedness and kinship with the natural world, we come to experience the Earth as home and Nature as a way of being,
Nidrascapes is inspired by my explorations and further study in shamanism, ecopsychology, depth psychology, somatic healing and trauma therapy, transpersonal spirituality, dreamwork, grief-tending, archetypal astrology, yoga, energy work, conscious movement and embodied presence for stage performance.

ABOUT
Hello, I'm Navreet
I’m Navreet Chawla, an experienced Yoga Nidra practitioner and storyteller. My unique approach draws on over 20 years of experience in holistic healing as both a pharmacist and homeopath.
I've spent most of my professional life at the borderlands between biomedicine and homeopathy—holding the tension between two opposing perspectives on healing, bridging the two worlds of the material and the invisible, while walking alongside tender souls in the liminal space of uncertainty between the ‘two kingdoms of the ill and well.’ During my time as a homeopathic pharmacist at The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, I listened and tended to many patients’ stories, developing a holistic awareness of how 'ease and dis-ease' evolves in the body. I witnessed profound healing through the mind-body connection. I observed how patients’ beliefs and perceptions of their experiences influenced their health and healing outcomes, and how the subconscious expresses stories through symptoms and sensations in the body.
We are storied beings. We are wired for story and meaning-making—how we perceive ourselves and make sense of our experiences shapes our daily lives. My interest in the healing power of storytelling and its ability to create new neural pathways and re-pattern and re-story our ways of seeing and thinking (neuroplasticity) led to further study and training in Narrative Medicine, Narrative Therapy, and true storytelling on stage. I'm a former host for Spark London, London’s first true storytelling night. My stories have been published in several anthologies and featured on BBC Radio 4, the Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour on PRX, and The Moth podcast, which is downloaded over 100 million times a year.

‘Everything is held together with stories;
that is all that is holding us together, stories and compassion.’

Frequently Asked Questions
You will be tenderly guided into deep relaxation with a slight trace of conscious awareness —it will feel like you're on the edge of gently drifting off into a deliciously dreamy, lucid nap. You will awaken from the journey, feeling peaceful, restored and revitalised.
Yoga Nidra is Sanskrit for 'Yogic Sleep' and is considered to be the meditative heart of Yoga. Yoga Nidra is a powerful relaxation technique that guides your consciousness into the dreamy, liminal, restful state between wakefulness and slumber and induces deep meditative states.
You don’t need to have a regular meditation practice to reap the full benefits of this practice or have any prior experience in meditation at all. If you struggle with the rigour and discipline of meditation or find sitting upright with a straight back challenging or stressful, Yoga Nidra is an effortless way to access the full benefits of meditation without effort or struggle. All you have to do is lie down, close your eyes, listen and let go. The rest is easy.
A private, quiet, undisturbed room is essential. Please wear warm, comfortable clothing. Have a warm blanket available—your core body temperature will drop in deep states of relaxation. You can practice on a yoga mat on the floor, a recliner or even in bed if you wish. If you have lower back issues, please use extra pillows or a bolster under your legs to support your back. A head pillow or eye mask is optional. You will also need a smartphone/ laptop/ tablet to access the session online.
This practice is suitable for all resting positions—whatever is comfortable for you. Lying down supports the body in letting go and relaxing. If you choose to sit up or rest in a recliner, please make sure your back is well supported. If you fall asleep, take that as a cue from your body that you need to rest, and it will benefit you. One hour of Yoga Nidra can feel like four blissful hours of deep, restorative sleep. Even if you don't recall much of the practice, your subconscious will absorb the teachings. There is no right way to experience this practice —trust that you will receive what you need.
You can still benefit from the practice by engaging your other senses. Clients experiencing aphantasia have still benefited and achieved deep relaxation in these practices. You will be encouraged to connect to what you can touch, hear, smell, taste and feel in your imagination. Alternatively, you can listen to the guidance as a story or recall a pleasant memory related to the visualisation.
In live sessions, I check in with you to understand how I can best support you and hold space for you. The Deep Rest experiences in real time are intuitively guided—I sense and respond to what emerges energetically during the session so it resonates deeply with you. I include yogic breathing/energy practices, as well as somatic embodiment exercises, to soothe your nervous system and deepen your relaxation. When we rest and co-regulate in community, we co-create an intentional container for a deeper, more meaningful experience. We give each other permission to let go and build rest into our lives. There is also an opportunity at the end of the live session to ask questions, reflect, and share, all of which are optional.
